Frequently asked questions

How does galvanic electrolysis work?

Electrolysis uses a needle to deliver current into the follicle. This fuels the reaction of water and salt in the body to create lye which then breaks down the hair producing cells.

How much is the treatment?

Electrolysis is charged by the minute so it depends on how much hair needs to be removed. In an hour we can treat approximately 120-200 hairs. They will grow back and once they do, we will need to treat them again.

Which areas can I get treatment?

You can get treatment anywhere on the body expect for inside the nose and inside the ear.

Who does this work on?

Electrolysis works on all hair types and colours, skin types and colours, people diagnosed with PCOS and people going through hormonal changes. If you have a specific concern please let us know and we can talk about it more in depth.

What do I need to do to prepare for my first treatment?

The hair needs to be long enough to grab with tweezers and if possible, we ask that you stop removing the hair at least a week before the treatment so we can see the full growth.

How long will it take for the hair to stop growing?

It all depends on thickness of hair, how much hair, body chemistry, frequency of treatment, previous hair removal methods and a few other factors. In general, most will see improvement within a few months and the full treatment around 18-24 months.
